Sponsored Walk for Asthma Uk

10 years ago this year my Equine Buddy passed away – Leanne McLean – some of you will remember Leanne.  For those of you who don’t you will probably remember her horse Cinnamon. Leanne suffered from Asthma and unfortunately an attack took her life.

With this now being 10 years since Leanne passed away, her family and friends are doing various activities to raise money for Asthma UK - http://www.asthma.org.uk/

On the 14th August 2010 – Claire Strachan (Leanne’s sister) and Debbie Henderson are doing a sponsored 10 mile Bike Run in Inverbervie in the morning.  In the afternoon they are running a Car Treasure Hunt and in the evening a Race Night in the Queens Hotel in Inverbervie.  If you would like to take part or sponsor any of the events please get in touch with Debbie Henderson on 07793500290

I am organising a sponsored walk for two legs or four, with your horse, with your dog, with your family and friends. This shall be in September 2010 and I shall update details here very soon with venue and exact date.

Leanne’s love for horses was massive and in her memory I am appealing to all you equine enthusiasts to watch this space for details and come and take part in helping to raise funds for this cause.

Thank you

Leigh Glennie

First Aid
A few of the committee did a first aid course on the 1st May. This way we have  more First Aiders for the club as we need at least one first aider at every event. Thank you to all who gave up their day to come and do the course.

Thanks and hope you all enjoy the summer season.

Shona
